toyo proxes ra-1's mounted
i received and mounted my new toyo's this weekend. a few comments:
1) proxes ra-1 replaced bridgestone s-03's
2) bridgestones were pretty sticky, wore decently but were seldom round and very loud on the hwy
3) at 100 treadwear rating, the ra-1 is twice as sticky and has 80% of the normal dot tread depth
4) good looking tire and purposeful tread pattern...side wall is very clean and looks to fill the fender wells better than the s-03
5) mounted easily and off i went
on the road:
1) instantly, found the tires to be round and very quiet at hwy speeds...nice!
2) sticky and virtually no tread flex...handle nicely out of the box
3) 300 miles this weekend...and the tread still looks great. lol
4) rears will wear 2 to 1 over the fronts...but so what
i am happy w/ my tires and hope to influence others to go this route. thank you to those that helped me in my decision.

Seems ra-1's are not available here in UK.
We can get the R888 though.

just my luck!
just mounted the ra-1's and now they are discontinued? ugh!
thank you for the information and i may take you up on your advice on getting another rear set to help keep pace w/ the wear of the fronts.
