Default Oahu Cars & Coffee

Just came back from Oahu. Must say I do love them Pantera's. Hey Bryan, where were you?

Sorry I missed it. I've been out with an ear infection that gives me killer headaches. I'm using Vicodin and Percocet and it isn't helping.

What's the point of having a phenomenally fast car in a place like Hawaii? Is Hawaii Raceway Park still around?

Be careful when taking both Vicodin & Perc at the same time. They both have Tylenol (acetaminophen) as a base. You're limited by that. 4 grams of acetaminophen per day. Nothing awful will happen if you exceed it for a couple days. But if you're doing more than 4 grams per day for an extended period of time, you'll have to watch out for liver damage.

Thanks for the advice. A friend who is a MD at Tripler told me the same thing.

I am thinking of organizing exactly this kind of thing down here. I have seen the great results in the relocated Crystal Cove in LA. How many cars were there? How many spectators? How was the word spread??

I figure about 20 cars. Not many other spectators besides the owners. From other pictures seen, I know they have quite a show on occasion. Talk to WPOZZZ, Bryan, about organizing. Some of the Pantera owners said that he usually sends out an email.
On our perculiar small Island of which I reside, a friend of mine comes in contact with some high $$ clients who asked him, who has a Vette, to put one on. We have some unexpected rare cars stashed away in hermedically sealed garages up North where the $$ are.

I usually send an e-mail, but didn't this time. I wanted to see how many people show up without the e-mail notice.

As for how I started it, I got word out in 3 ways.
1. I'm on bimmerforums and I sent out word in our regional forum.
2. I'm a PCA member and sent word out via our e-mail list
3. I attend the monthly car guy lunch bunch and announced it there and sent it out via that e-mail list, too.

The hardest part is scouting out a good place to meet. It was difficult to find a place with no speed bumps and no ramps to accomodate low cars like the Carrera GT.
