rpm vs speed graph

Download this , it is what I used , along with actual data, to determine potential new gear ratios.

This data pretty much matches my actual data from the track, which I'll try to post later (when I have more time). The only thing you need to do, if you are running a stock 930 box, is enter the tire diameter.
I plugged mine in at 25.6.

But my question is about the thrust page...with 880 ft lbs of torque from the motor, is it really possible to get 6,600 ft lbs of thrust with 25.8" tires? The thrust thing can't be right can it? That's a $hit load of thrust....

JBL930:
Dude, its gonna take a LONG straightaway for you to get to 200mph in a 930. Even then aero may prevent it. At VIR, here in thes States, the backstraight is 4200ft long, and I barely reach 150mph, and that's in a 2500lb car with 441RWHP.
Its gonna take a LONG straight my man to push one of these bad boys to 200mph...
Another thing to consider is the stock 4th gear we have. For instance, when I shift out of 3rd I'm at approx 132 (if I recall), and I'm only hitting say 147 on average, and I'm normally in 4th for an average of 7.2 seconds. So if it took me 7.2 seconds to climb 15mph, its gonna take a much longer amount of time to reach 200 because once you break over 150, your gain in speed starts dropping off - big time.

Bruntingthorpe is around 1.6 miles long before you need to break, if i can't get it there then there is always an Autobahn in Germany, 4am in the morning and a few brave pills, Bobs your uncle!
Brian, do you think 500fwbhp is enough power to push a stock bodied 930 to 200mph?

Yes mate, it's nearing completion, i can't see why it wouldn't crack 200mph on a long run either, i may find that it isn't stable enough in stock form and will have to do some aero tweaks, i won't be climbing the power ladder for some time after this, i will concentrate on other things, wheels, brakes, suspension, gearbox, lighter interior etc.
When do you think your project will be done? It's a little more involved than mine

Getting the body assembled this month, interior is set for June, Motor swap in July, suspension in August, and details in September/October.
As far as top end runs, it might be worth sourcing out slant nose fenders to bolt on for a top speed run (off road only) kind of stuff, then switch back to your regular fenders. Not too sure how hard it would be to do, but from what my research tells me, getting rid of the standard 911 fenders for a top end run yields a MUCH lower coefficient of drag than many other mods. That and block off your A pillars, I shaved mine.
I'm shooting for the 210-220 area myself.
