Default Need a WUR....

Does anyone have a spare one lying around they are interested in selling? Does anyone have a line on where I can get one for a decent price???

It seems that my WUR is WAAAYYYY out of spec, and it is time to do a little something about it!!!

Thanks.

Cajun, get in touch with Brian Leask. He will set you up with a fully adjustable unit for a reasonable price. If you are like most of us with lightly modded motors Headers, K27 1 bar, IC, etc. you are likely running rich (check your AFRs of course) But his unit will clean that up and get you running at a proper AFR likely freeing up some horsepower due to a more efficient AFR. And solve your "busted" WUR problem at the same time. Just a thought. Keep us posted.

Brian usually mods your own. How easy are WUR's to get these days? There was a rumour that porsche stopped making them.... and how much are they?

bleask@***.net or Brian.Leask@ATK.com

I have one of his adjustable WURs that I would sell, but please get in touch with him in any case. I think he may have done some improvements since doing mine.

Go here http://www.specialtauto.com/porsche-parts/index.html if you elect to stick with a stock WUR, vs. Brian's modified. I've not dealt with this company, but they do list what you need.

Brian can rebuild yours cheaper than buying a new wur. if you like he can modify it to an adjustable one. he also can modify it to take a higher level of boost. that will normally blow out the diaphragm in the stock ones. you pretty much have to have an adjustable one once you start changing cams headers boost levels fuel heads etc.

Check with Elliot aka Turbohead; he seems to have every CIS part imaginable after his EFI conversion.

you can get a brand new one from NAPA for under $200 bucks. i got one from them last summer when i thought i needed one. they sell a tone of inxpensive Bosch stuff. takes a little digging but all the part numbers are on Bosch's site and you can plug that part number right into napas web site.

Having just Googled it I would imagine it's this site. However the WUR shown for our cars is $404 and doesn't look like ours (which is Bosch part number 0 438 140 160):
