It's been almost a year since I knew where it was. Now it's in La Jolla, CA. I wish I got this guy's asking price when I sold it!

John - Nice to see you back on here...to be honest, I cannot see him getting that kind of $$ as well. The car is identical to mine on the interior and exterior (Guards Red \ Tan Supple leather) is really beautiful...wow!

I agree with the opinions stated...except maybe the new wife one ;-).
It's one of those willing seller and willing buyer things. If he gets lucky and finds the right buyer who has to have a final year, low mile Slantnose, well, there aren't many. There is only one final year... You may know, the Slantnose M505 option in 1989 cost $29,XXX (can't remember the exact hundreds, but just shy of $30,000). So this car was over $100,000 new.
Still, that one buyer can be hard to find.

If they're selling for 200k then this one is a buy and ship to Hawaii, its an easy arb. No offense but if there was that much price difference you'd see a lot of slant noses running around Hawaii.

That was when the car was brand new. The dealer put a premium on the car because it was the first 5 speed and the 911 turbo was supposedly going to be discontinued. And there are quite a few factory slants here. The $200k+ one has been sitting in a paint shop for several years. It has a Ruf tranny and a motor from Powerhaus or something like that, that is sitting at another shop. I've known the car since it was new, the guy was 19 when he got it and then spent a ton of money on modding it. It's been sitting because he doesn't give a rip about it since buying a GT2 a couple years ago.
