Default Lean Running 1988 930

Alright Gents,

Yesterday while driving home from work I noticed a slight mis in the car. While observing the AFR meter, I noticed that when the car started missing that the AFR indicator lights would fall all the way down to 17 or in the red. At idle the indicator light is at 14.7.

This is not the first time this situation has occured. About a month ago it did the same thing so I got pissed and parked the car. So about a week ago I went to start the car and it wouldn't crank. So needless to say I wasn't happy at all.

As I attempted to troubleshoot the cause of the car not starting, I stumble across what appears to be the intake tube (Hell, I don't know what the real name is) thingy that runs from the turbo to the side of the fuel distributor (Again, I don't know the freakin name). Well, anywho, the mechanic who installed the new turbo either didn't tighten the clamp or it just simple came loose. After re-installing the intake tube (You know what I mean) thingy. The car started So I drove the car around town yesterday for about 30 minutes or so and it ran fine. I drive to work this morning and it still running okay...It wasn't until I was on my way into Los Angeles this morning that it started missing again. HELP!

I also need to mention that after arriving at work it was raining pretty heavily for most of the day as well. Not sure if that is an issue or not.

The reason I mention this is because, while attempting to see what I could find out this morning, I notice that while reving the engine I could see what appeared to be water seeping out of the hose that connects to the inter-cooler from the turbo. I do recall driving through several large puddles of water yesterday.

Can anyone shed some light as to what my problem might be?

Thanks in advance for help with this issue.

Sounds like you need to go over everything checking for tightness etc etc.

What AFR gauge do you have?

You might be safer to get an Innovate XD-16 or similair from www.imagineauto.com
The Innovate stuff can be calibrated and are accurate. I have one ready to fit.

Anyone know of a good thread out there about AFR's on 930's? anything that might have optimal AFR's throughout the entire RPM range, and under boost, posted?

I am about to start tuning my rebuilt engine, and I cant seem to find any good/complete info for 930's
