good luck Ken- I do not envy you but look at it this way- the more times you drop it the less time the motor has to seize up those hard to get at bolts...... I too am interested in what you find.- Mike

Well i now am the proud holder of the dumb *** of the week award. I had checked the clutch linkage earlier in the week. but all I did was crawl under and give the cable a wiggle to make sure it wasn't too tight. Today I jacked the car up drained the oil removed the inter-cooler all the stuff from the top of the engine. pulled the wheels unhooked the axles. then crawled under to remove the clutch linkage and throttle cable. only to find that the adjustment screw had actually tightened up? and the clutch wasn't engaging all the way I had no idea it could do this. I could understand it getting looser but not the other way around. any ways I'll have to call the place I got the clutch from and let them know their clutch isn't a pos after all so thats about $1800.00 saved looks like i'll be taking the new flywheel back next friday when I am off.

Yes I'm happy just pissed at myself for not verifying the clearance on the operating lever first.

Did the disc wear down to tighten the bolt? MIne seemed to be doing that and I kept adjusting it back. When I replaced the clutch, there didn't seem to be any wear on the disc, but I didn't mic it. I'm guessing my stock PP just couldn't hold it.

Before you send it all the parts back and retract the statement, adjust it and drive it.

It must have worn down to require it to be adjusted again. I always figuresd the adjustment that would be needed would be to compensate for cable stretch I guess not. I adjusted it and drove after I got it put back together this afternoon, full boost no slipping and less chattering when I let the clutch off. Tomorrow I need to re-adjust the pedal height. I'll drive it the rest of the week to work. Then take the parts back Friday.

adjusted the pedal height and pretty much drove the crap out of it all day today and no slipping. So it looks like it might be ok.
