Default Bump steer spacer install question???

I am in the process of installing all the Weltmeister goodies that came with my purchase of 77 930, front upper strut monoball/camber adj, strut brace and bump steer spacers. I loosened the spline clamp bolt on steering rod and removed both rack mount bolts and I still can't push steering rack up enough to get both spacers in, any suggestions? Would adjusting tie rod ends help abit, I know I will have to realign front end anyways? My car has been lowered approx. 1/4" lower than euro spec. Thanx, Jamie

Gently use a pry bar or large screwdriver to lever it upwards and be careful of any fuel lines that may be getting squeezed up above the rack.
I've done it on my '87 and it went easily, just had to be careful of the fuel lines.

Yes, the steering is much more stable and consistant over bumps and changing oddities in the road surface.
