Default Timing

Finally have my A/F all good. Now I want to set my timing. I have sc cams. motor is stroked to a 3.5, B&B exhaust, K27hf, Tial 46 wastegate and other minor stuff. I have an electromotive XDI igniton system . Right now I have it set at 10 on first ****, advance I have set at 17 and the retard set at 4. Cars runs great. How can I check to see if my timing advance is good? Is there a base setting you go to? How my advance should or could I run? Thanks John

AFAIK the only way to do that is to have a pro do it on his dyno. Someone like Stephen Kaspar or Geoffrey.

I know that Link make a knock detecting device but trying to do this on the road would be difficult, very difficult.

Contact Electromotive directly - speak to Nic. If you're not going to go to a dyno, I would stick to stock settings since we all know those work fine.
