1st post - buying 930 special wishes ???
Hi guys,
I am considering buying a 1985 930. From what I know, it was sent back to germany in 1990 (special wishes). It has 30K miles, 410 RWHP and has never seen rain and get this, never washed with a hose. It has tons of Ruf parts installed by porsche. What do you experts think it is worth? I presently have a 2003 Z06 that would probally keep as my car to "beat on"
Thanks guys...
I guess I can't post pics or links yet, but i posted this same thread on
: _ _ _ .german auto forums._om"
If somone can repost the pic's that would be great. Same subject line...

I would be highly skeptical of this car. If it makes anything close to what is stated, it is operating at the limit of CIS in terms of fuel delivery (and probably has been for a while) and that means expensive repairs for you. I am rebuilding (with EFI) just such a engine, and I can assure you that the car having gone to Special Wishes (or anywhere else) in Germany is no garantee that you won't be rebuilding it soon. There are many 930's out there for sale (there is another thread on the board right now with links in it) now, many with correct mods, that I would look around before settling on any car, especially one with a funny story like this one. At the least, get a thorough PPI with leakdown and compression, and even then be ready for $$$$ in the future...
good luck,
good luck,

hi guys. When I originally posted, I first posted on the 911 section, not seeing the 930 section. The picture are up on that thread. Thanks for the words of wisdom...
