Angry Who is the best for insuring sports and exotic cars?

I'm getting jacked around by my current pic. Just wondering who has a good track record and decent customer service?

Take a look at Haggerty Insurance. http://www.hagerty.com/Auto/vehicle_index.aspx I know of people who are using them and seem to be happy. I may change over when my beast turns 20 at the end of the year. this is Collector Car insurance, and it let's you set the value of your car - and the rates are entirely based on that value. May not be as competitive on uninsured/underinsured motorists coverage, but if you car gets toasted at least they will pay you the full value.

I had Hagerty but I had an umbrella with State Farm and multiline home etc long story short, I have a stated value policy from State Farm of $65K and I pay a smidge under $500 with no miles stipulations for the year!

I've had State Farm the last couple of years. They want to know my milage each year I renew and it hasn't been cheap at about $750 per year for a third car that I drive about 2,500 miles a year.

I'm 48 Y/O and supposedly getting the best rate for a low miles per year third car with no stated value when I asked. Need to get that stated value fixed though.

Maybe I should have checked out Haggarty first.

Mine is L-W and I don't have a problem with mine setting a value, but they will only give me $25K coverage if an uninsured motorist totals my car. They told me before I signed up that the car was covered for full value ($30K) but now it looks like only $25K.

On top of that they were not happy that I had another car that is in storage with only storage insurance on it, so now I have to put liability on it. On the plus side, it's only $330 a year with a 2,500K miles max and pleasure use only clause.

Your car needs to be 25 years old for Hagerty's collector car insurance with zero deductible, otherwise they treat it just as a lightly driven 2nd or 3rd car with a deductible. A 1987 930 bills out at $447.00/year with a $1,000 deductible for 3,000 miles or less per year.

Best,

David
