Default CIS sensors... On timing chain boxes....

I am in the process of going to EFi, and am diasecting the factory wiring harness. I know I dont need any of the senors for the CIS that were on the timing chain covers, but I would like to know what are they? One sensor on each side... what are the sensors? And I also have two sensors next to the fan, on the 4,5, and 6 side of the case...one looks like a oil press or temp sendor... but I dont know what the other one is? does anyone know??? Thanks, Brad

The fixtures on the pax side of the case (part of the cam spray bar and cam chain tensioner) are oil temp and pressure. You will retain these in your EFI conversion since they report out to the gauges in your dash.

The other two will not be used and the holes should be plugged. Some guys use one of these holes to measure engine temp for the ECU, but this is probably one of the worst places to get this info. I know from experience. Since you are not running the engine oil cooler any more, gut the engine oil thermostat then drill and tap the top of that part to accept your new coolant sensor. There is enough material on the top of this part so that the sensor will have enough threads.

If you need wiring info, I have factory schematics. What year is your car?
