That's great news, post some more pics of the car if you get a chance, there's a lot of us drooling over it and need more!

It was listed in 1984 as an optional paint with Code Number "661" Slate Blue Metallic....... there was a brown optional leather known as Cadbury Brown in 1984 to 1986

Glad you solved the mystery

That was a very popular color for 911 Carreras in those days.

Whoa, stunning...can we get a motor shot? How long have you had the car...it looks near mint. Keep it up!

Sorry no engine shot. I've had it about 3 weeks now. I just installed new 3.6L wheels and GHL exhaust. Still waiting on the wheels caps, 993 mirrors and H4 lights and thinking of going to C2 bumpers.

Im going to say ixnay on the C2 bumpers. Dont turn a 930 into a C2!

Not even so sure about the aero mirrors. The flag mirrors give better visibility.

What I would do for sure is change the headlights to H4's or H1's that would really clean up the look. Otherwise your car needs nothing. I would just do bolt on changes that can be reverted back. Someday (maybe a long time from now) you will sell this car and originality will always be worth more. When your looking to buy that GT3 RS the extra $$ never hurts.

Would it have been easier to start with a 964T to begin with. You get the "bonus pak" of functional AC, better suspension, 5spd, dual exhaust, and better intercooler. I doubt it would have cost any more. Other than the rims, youd have been set.

Of course, it the color combo was too good to pass up, then none of what I just said would count for anything. And no apology is needed if it was. Still, I cant help but think the car will be worth less when you are done than when you started.

Still a stunning car.

All colors considered... slate blue metallic is nice, not to be confused by "diamond blue metallic" as in this photo

found in this ad (which I'm viewing quite often in my 930 search :-))
