Hello Guys,

For our K27 turbos, should i be using a XR-1 with a 2.5" inlet/outlet or a 3.0" inlet/outlet?? The turbo exhaust side measures 2.5" however i do notice my old B&B exhaust piping is 3.0"

the Borla muffler may not be enough (loud). you may want to look into Magnaflow tube to vent out the passenger side.

I made a combo of the 2 using the flange from the 'test pipe' into the tubular Magnaflow and 180o back into the Borla exiting out the standard valance on the driver side.

hangs a bit low, but with hi-temp black-out paint its barely noticeable against my Meteor Gray metallic paint.

Turbos don't like back pressure. Use the largest inlet and outlet that is reasonable for your application.
A 3" inlet is good with at least a 3" outlet or dual 2.5" outlets.
A very cheap performance exhaust can be made from the 80 series MagnaFlow muffler. Using a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets frees up the flow and keeps the noise to a neighbor friendly level.

i guess my question is since the xr1 has a 1 inlet 1 outlet configuration and my turbocharger has a 2.5" exhaust outlet; should i be using a 2.5" or 3" borla inlet/outlet muffler? thx
