What size turbo? Are you running an intercooler?

J., I am up in Alexandria. I am down in your neck of the woods regularly, we should get together...

I was thinking about sending my car up to Imagineauto this summer. I don't know, I am torn. I have the bug REAL bad, and the fact that one of my friends showed up yesterday with a early Esprit (89 model) that he just bought is not helping me at all.

I either need to make this car faster, or add something to the stable. I find that this happens to me every 12 - 18 months...

Tod, at proto, sells the chips, their results are 350 at .5bar and a little more at .6bar (intercooled), so plus or minus 20 or 30.
I figure a little more than 325, I have no proof. getting to baton rouge for some dyno time is a hassle. But I'll get over there eventually. A guy down the street is doing one also, same unit. After he gets his paint work done we should get over to baton rouge for some dyno numbers.
What I can prove is that in NA mode, last year, my car took from 13-15 seconds to get from 2000 to 6500 rpm in third gear
This year same test is 8 to 9 seconds.
I use an LM1 for datalogging. (rpm and afr)
that was at .5 bar without the intercooler. I havent done any logs at .6bar with the IC
It makes your heart beat.

Sounds AWESOME! I can't wait to see your car in person. We definitely have to meet up.

There aren't many old-school 911s up here and I have the only 930. If you see a blk/blk 930 running around on RUF wheels, flag me down.

If you aren't prepared to do the above then forget it and enjoy the car as is. On the other hand you will always be wondering what it would be like to anihilate other cars or perhaps you can go buy a new (flame suit activated) Z06.
Interesting you should mention the new Z06. I may have an inside line on a used one for a good price. A client of mine's business partner has a slvr/blk one he may want to part with.

Does anyone live within driving distance of Louisiana with an EFI 930? If so, I would be willing to trade dinner for a ride. I really would like to experience one before making the financial commitment...

For the money, a Z06 is hard to beat. They are fast, nimble and comfortable on a long trip. They have performance right out of the box that you have to spend lots of money and wait a year to get out of our 20+ year old machines. I love my 930 and will never part with it, but if I was to buy another "performance" car new, it'd probably be the Z06.

I hear you loud and clear. I have a '94 Vette that I have owned since new, and she will be in my funeral procession!!! I will consider this Z06 *if* I can get a good deal...I was led to believe last night that I might be able to steal it.

The funny thing is, I could turbo my Vette for 10k and make 800 - 900 rwhp. I just don't know what I want to do.

I have ALWAYS wanted an old-school RUF car though. I plan on contacting RUF in Dallas later this week and having a little dialogue with them...

The Michigan market is full of 06 Z06s that were brass hat cars or GM execs that are no longer if you know what I mean.
