Wow! Eddie Bello Is Back..Pics of His New 1153whp 964!!
Just got the inside line, through some aquaintences in the industry. Eddie Bello is back and is ready to start where he left off many years ago before all the legal stuff happened to him. So the car will be seeing some fierce drag racing this year.
His *new* white 964 is sponsored by HKS. It is running a pair of secret hybrid HKS turbos and a mosnter HKS intercooler. Last week, the car laid down 1154whp, he is selling this current complete engine for a more powerful set-up (!!), his asking price for the 1154whp engine complete is $50K.
Here is the vid taken when the car laid down 670whp at 14psi:

The car has coilovers coming soon, so it is sitting high. The exhaust was redone a few times as it was very loud, hence the differing exhausts in the pics. Car has a 993TT rear spoiler on it.
Here are the pics:

WOW!:

Wow, what a sleeper. Other than the ominous-looking exhaust pipes sprouting out the rear panel, it looks amazingly stock from the outside. It doesn't even look lowered. That engine must be rigidly mounted -- it's odd to see the IC supported by brackets attached to the body of the car.

I'm guessing the guy sitting on the fender/hood.
Figure only the owner would dare sit there with his leg up on the fender/hood.

Correct! The other guy standing, is involved with Eddie at his new shop and drives a Mistsu Evo.

Actually David, I think that the whole side-to-side vs.back-to-front debate is way overblown (no pun intended). My understanding of the general principles suggests an edge to back-to-front design, but in reality, I think that a well-designed system (proper core, good tank design), with adequate cooling capacity and minimal pressure drop will make more of difference in the long run than the orientation of the air flow (at least for the range of 930 designs we typically see). If both types are well designed, I think the differences are negligible. Some might argue that the side-to-side design makes for better packaging in the engine compartment for a single turbo in the stock location, but for twin turbos, the back-to-front design seems to work better. Interestingly, the factory 993TT ICs were really a side-to-side design, but each core is approximately square, so it's probably irrelevant which way the air flows in the core.
That said, I'd be interested to hear Eddie Bello or his engine builder chime in on this one. Whoever built that engine most likely has more knowledge about this than any of us, and it would be interesting to hear their rationale.
What I find interesting is that the IC on Eddie Bello's car is mounted at the rear to the body. I would think that for drag racing applications, with 1154 hp, there would be some serious torque of the engine and IC during power application that would tend to react against those mounts. He must have the engine really solidly mounted in the car.

Thanks for posting the video Yasin.I have watched it a few times in different forums.
The more I watch it the more I feel it is overrated. It is now quite obvious to me that the frame per second of the video is sped up, andalso we don't know at what speed it started or ended. There are many floating around that look like this one.
I don't doubt that this is a fast car but keepin mind that this is a 2700 lbs car at the most so it does not need 1000RWHP to pull like that assuming it is a real video.
And now the engine is for sale? I might be a skeptic but sounds like a good commercial to me from the owners withall due respect to their palmares and technical savvy.
Is the engine posted for sale somewhere? Can one see the specs?
Thanks
