Default anyone have Garrettson I/C info?

I will eventually end up buying an IC... but Garrettson is the only model I can't find any info on... let alone where to buy one. Anyone have a link I can check out?

I waited forever for mine. Call ImagineAuto, Dr. Kaspar knows how to find them (I think Andial).

Garrettson was around a long time ago. Isn't there something else out there that is more up to date? Kokeln, B&B, BS, etc?

Garretson would be the least favorable option on the aftermarket list.

Want best bang for the buck?

Do yourself a favor and buy a B&B!

I still trust ImagineAuto, Kaspar felt the unit was one of the only true upgrades to my stock 3.6T IC. We talked about B&B, Kokeln, etc.. This was two years ago though. So Yasin, why do you feel its the "least favorable" unit? My car is just about done being upgraded with full EFI, a GT35R turbo, EVO cams etc.. and Kaspar still feels the Garrettson IC is the right choice. I live in a very warm climate, and the car will be over 500rwhp: building major heat. He did recommend changing headers from GHL to B&B, but again we spoke about the IC and as of a few weeks ago felt my unit was an excellent choice, and it was not about the $$> I am very interested in your opinion and knowledge of the subject.

Stock left (B&B right):

Here is your typical Garrettson \ Andial IC....big improvement over the stock unit - agreed - never seen their full bay, if you are running a full bay, then I retract my comments. Never tested this regular Garrettson. But looks fairly small compared to the B&B and there is no way it will handle your 500whp goal, it WILL be your new weak link. I am surprised Stephen, recommended the Garrettson, as he has plugged the B&B quite abit.

B&B - which I found very impressive on 4different units I tested. I never wrote down the temperatures at the inlet and outlet the several nights I tested these -sadly, although I did have the pyrometer out those nights doing alot of checking. Pressure loss at 1bar across it ran around 0.7-0.8psi. The B&B faired extremely well.

I just further realised you have a 3.6 with the significantly efficient C2 IC....I am even further confused?

Like Chet930, I have a full bay Garrettson IC. I did not know Garrettson even made a smaller unit. The full bay is basically a deeper 3.6T unit, with a new neck going into the throttle body. So I figured we were talking apples and oranges. The full bay is a nice unit, I had mine powdercoated to match the exterior of the car, but I would agree its still not as pretty as the B&B. The good Doctor may post a picture if he sees this post. He has my car again.

b&b is nice but it doesn't use the updated c2t bypass valve. the longneck IC are the way to go.

Stephen recommends the B&B 965 type IC for our 930's.

I didn't know Garrettson made a full bay intercooler. I can see it being better than the smaller one and a C2T intercooler I guess. A picture would be nice. Does Garrettson still make them? I assume they do since Stephen suggests them.
