Default K27-7200 REBUILD KIT PRICE

Can anyone tell me the cost of a rebuild kit for this turbo. As I mentioned in a previous post I can get one and they are a hard find here in Oz, so I figure it would probably be best to go through with a rebuild kit. Or does anyone have a good one at a reasonable price?.

Thanks
Scott

Honestly, I'm not really sure about rebuilding these things as a "DIY" project. I think the tolerances are hella close in there. Your best bet is to contact Kevin at Ultimate Motorwerks about having him do a rebuild...he's the KKK turbo god! I'm sure he'll chime in. There are also some special things that Kevin can do to the basic k27..."S", "HF", "HF2", "HFS"...it all depends on your budget and engine. Some of the HF k27 models are meant for EFI only. You really should talk to him or Stephen of Imagine Auto.

I think Imagine Auto is having a sale on K27 turbos, right now!

I've found them to be around $79US on ebay..
I don't see one on there now, but I have in the past (like last week). I've gotten various emails from folks how have done it themselves, as long as the blades don't need any work you should be ok.

There is a reason that most shops send their turbos out to a specialist...

I got this in my email from IA:

Buy the Turbo You Need Right Now, On-Line at More Than 10% Below Retail

Prices in effect only through our secure on-line shopping cart.

K27 S
Uses the basic footprint of the K27 7200 with custom housing, larger 3" inducer with machined tighter tolerances resulting in better air ratio and more efficient turbo. Better flow and faster spool over the K27 7200.
Retail $1,295.00 Sale Price $1,099.00

K27 HyFlow S
The stock K27 7200 runs out of air between 5,100 and 5,250. Like the K27 S, the HyFlow S uses the larger inducer but also a larger compressor wheel. The larger compressor wheel efficiently generates boost to redline. The efficient compressor wheel produces less heat and reduces the thermal load on your intercooler. Bottom line, the K27 HyFlow S will add HP and increase your powerband.
Retail $1,749.00 Sale Price $1,499.00

HyFlow 2
The HyFlow 2 is an EFI conversion turbo only. This turbo can be compared in power to the T 66 yet carries the same characteristic as the HyFlow S. The turbo power is linear without the on/off feeling building boost early and continuing to build. This turbo has no limit compared to the limit of the motor.
Retail $2,149.00 Sale Price $1,899.00
