Default IC HP INCREASE

Probably been asked before but what if any HP gain could I expect if i used say a B6 half-bay IC. My car has a custom muffler and straight through wastegate pipe and running .9bar, oh and a 46mm wategate that's on it's way. Judging by what I read here a larger IC is the first and foremost mod to make apart from the obvious, the exhaust.

Probably around 30bhp but more importantly it will help keep you away from detonation.

Typically intercoolers unless restrictive do not offer HP gains. They will allow you retain the HP the car should make rather than loosing it. How much will you loose with the stock intercooler? It depends on many variables so there is no one given number. The intercooler regardless of modifications, etc will loose all efficiency at 88 Degrees F. So at that given variable the car would be loosing at least 30HP and retain that lost power due to better exchanging of the heat.

That's my understanding, also. When my engine was still some what stock (K27, B&B headers), I switched that OEM thing for a B&B IC. Honestly, I really didn't *FEEL* (the butt dyno) much difference.
