Guys,
wondering if anyone can help me diagnose the problem. My 79 930 heater control (located in between the seats) is all or none. I turn it to any setting and the heater box opens up cumpletely for full blast heat. Since fall is here i need to fix this. Any suggestions? Im thinking there must be a switch or relay that controls how far open the heat exchanger is at any given setting.

Check the temp sensor mounted between the visors right above the rear view mirror. It comes out with 2 screws.

Yep, it might not be connected or maybe it has gone open circuit. Put an ohmeter on it, approx 1000 ohms, maybe someone knows exactly how many.
