I am sure he has seen this thread and is choosing to ignore, which is a pity as if he chimes in and explains we would all happily eat humble pie (I'll have the largest piece with a Carib).

I can prove I bought the car this way, since I have the original ebay ad saved as a HTML file.

Heck of a sweet deal...that's Toyota Corolla money.
I'm a little confused though, as I thought he said that he gave this car to his dad and was buying another 930, I know he enquired into Derrick's White Cab. He also just bought this car this past summer.
Interesting how some folks get really into the cars, buying new parts for the cars and asking questions when they first buy their cars and then they just disappear.
Either way I wish him luck and someone is getting a great deal providing the car checks out.

By the way, just FYI regarding Dericks gorgeous GPW cab.
The cash from the sale of my car will help me close on my new home, at which point I'll be refinancing some equitycash back out, (new home has a nice amount of equity since I put down escrow) to pick up Dericks cab.
God-willing, everything will work out as planned and Dericks cab will have a new home

the car means nothing, when a man is faced with a tough decision, priorities fall into place real quick. Im about to lose my escrow if I dont come up with the additional cash I need to swing for my downpayment at closing. I can always get another 930. Im eyeballing Dericks cab. Like I said, if all else goes as planned then I'll be back in the 930 saddle in a month or so after closing

Sorry to hear about all the **** hitting the fan in your personal life, diabolos! Hang in there! As soon as you said "divorce", I knew that you must have "given" the car to your old man to keep it from the lawyers and the soon-to-be-ex-wifey!

I hope the rest goes to plan for you.
Financial nightmares can happen at any age, and I don't know how old you are Diabolos88, but with an infant/toddler daughter I'm guessing you still have just about the whole life ahead of you. Especially in my twenties, my financial life was pretty wreckless and in shambles as well so I can understand. Hang in there, it will pass...
Hope to hear about your (still to be found) new 930 in some months from now, once you can get into your new home.

Diablos - Sorry to hear man. Going through a divorce sucks ***...I was there a few years ago and I think it was probably the LOWEST point in my life.
But there were points during your tenure on here that you were all over the map and I think that is what Schnele is referring to. Just curious though, isnt Dereck asking like $20K for his Cabrio minus the engine and tranny - I saw it listed on ebay with no bids a few weeks back? Wouldn't it better to just keep your 930 and put the $$ into it as you already own it?
Either way you are selling your car for Cheap money, someone is getting a screamer of a deal. I wish you luck and I never meant any ill feelings or suggestions to you.

Diabolos, you probably don't really want to hear any advice now, but I think slownrusty is 100% on the mark with the suggestion of keeping your car. Especially if you can raise some equity after you have closed, I would recommend finding the money now in a way that does not involve selling your car, and then pay it right back from the equity. You have a great looking car, keep it. Don't give away a great deal of the value you have in your car as a gift to someone...
Sorry for sticking my nose where it does not belong, I'll butt out....

thanks guys for all the sound advice, Im re-thinking it over now. The more I look at the pics of my car the more i dont want to sell it. I just don't have another way to get the additional money I need right now.
