Sand...yep they are heavy per original designed for denlock dunlops and 200+mph....won't break one of these....curb them as hard has you want, they won't bend...will chip though. They new ones ar lighter and they bend....I have a pal who has bent both the rears already!...and I hear...don't know for a fact, that they are made in China...not by Speeline in Italy.

They are made by AVUS. www.avuswheels.com They make a wide variety of very nice wheels including motorsport wheels for DTM and that other race series you may have heard of:
Formula 1...

Coop...don't be all up in arms here...I heard they were outsourced to Asia. Not an uncommon practice for a variety of aftermarket components. I don't personally own a set. You do...where does it say they were made? Why don't you just respond with that...I'm interested. PS...I have a buddy that's been through several of the "new" classics; three (3) rears as they've bent...streets are murder here in LA. Still a good looking wheel no matter where its made. Thanks for the input.

Do the "Denlock" rims mean you can only fit Denlock tyres? The only Denlock tyres left are Bridgestone RE71's. Reason i ask is i need to make a desicion on a set of wheels, and they are Denlock rims, can i fit any tyre or am i screwed?

What's the actual weight difference between a Ruf and a stock or other after market wheel? I'd take a little more weight if it were strong and not prone to damage. My street C2T wheels feel like they weight a ton compared to my track BBS wheels.

If your car is used primarily on the stree/road the heaver wheel is probably better considering the condition of the roads these days.
In other words, the "heavy" Ruf wheel will not bend as quickly as some others on the market.
