Default 480 HP/ 476 ft-lbs on CIS @ .96 bar!

408 RWHP / 405 RWTQ (with 15% drivetrain loss)

So finally got the beast dynoed with the RPM switch/solenoid mod that Brian Leask designed. Check out how flat the AFR curve is now. It's like EFI!

WUR Boost enrichment is set at 2.2 bar. I'm going to lower it to 2.1 bar to richen it a bit top end. Right now, it's around 12.5 AFR around 5400 (max HP).

The blue run is before the RPM switch/solenoid mod. The red run is with boost enrichment to trigger at 4400. Notice how much smoother the HP/TQ curve is in mid range. No overich stumbling. I've gained 30 RWHP in places and 30-40 RWTQ between 2800-3600! Incredible.

Mods:
36mm port
K27
1 bar spring (actually getting .96 bar)
IA fuel head
C2 cams
C2 bypass assembly
Baileys diverter valve
Borla exhaust
goingsuperfast.com headers and full bay IC
Custom powerflow intake
ARP head studs & rod bolts
Nology wires
Car corner balanced and weighed in at 2750 w/ 1/2 tank of gas

Excellent! Smart setup. Hellacious torque!

Amazing for CIS... would this valve/solenoid deal work on a 931?

The switch/solenoid concept is simple and can be applied to any application that uses vacuum to trigger boost enrichment. Basically, all you're doing is blocking the vacuum signal to the WUR using the solenoid and opening it up by applying 12v to the solenoid. The best way to trigger the solenoid is to tap the tach signal and trigger it at a set rpm range.

The setup/integration part takes a bit of ingenuity and Brian (bleask@***.net) can give you more details. I think he's now starting to sell the RPM/solenoid kit seeing how good the results are.

Makes sense to me...

I used to tap the cold start injector and run it from an MSD RPM switch for extra enrichment.... Same idea, just using the WUR to boost system pressure thru vaccuum manipulation.

Great idea, thanks for the info!
