While I would love to have more alternatives, the need is not really that great. There were approximate 1600 total 964 Turbos imported, so the market is very, very small. You'd probably sell a handful of systems each year at best.

Yeah, what he said...

Joe,

What RarlyL8 and Sand-Man said. 100% functional, nice merge collectors and maybe even V-band clamps on the collectors (Like DonE's Marco set) that would allow swapping the turbo flanges to a KKK or Garrett style without buying new headers. Would also allow for easier turbo removal.

Joe,

I agree with what RarlyL8, sand_man and Win Rice have stated. I would be very interested in a set of "off-the-shelf" 930 headers that are well designed and fabricated using 321 SS. Pyramid merge collectors would be nice for added efficiency (more HP) along with optional heat exchanger boxes. If you can do this with a price point around or under $2K, you'll be golden. You might even consider offering an Inconel version for the track guys, as they are hard to come by without spending $4K+. It would be nice to see something out there besides the GHL and B&B stuff. I'm not very pleased with either.

Ben (MK) said headers were in the works, I imagine he'll end up making whatever first generates the most intrest.

Well, it seems like this might be worth doing. I would prob. start with a shorter equal length 1" 7/8 primary utilizing a true merge collector. To keep the cost low I would use 304 stainless over 321. However, they would have a full warranty against flaws or cracking that's common with the high heat of turbo's. I do really like the V band idea or could also have different flange options for kkk's or garrett's. The overall objective would be to have something that would work well with cis or efi.

If you decide to go with inconell use alloy 690 and make sure they are heat treated after they are welded and they should never crack

I haven't had my Schnelles long enough to know how they will hold up but I was wondering if anyone had done a poll to find out what the ratio of cracked pipes to non cracked pipes is when the turbo support bracket is installed/uninstalled. It would be interesting to see if Porsche was just adding weight just for the hell of it or maybe the bracket really has a purpose.

Powerhaus customer service is terrible. They do not make the parts themselves so you could be lucky.

Would I use them ? No...

I think it should be :

I do really like the V band idea & could also have different flange options for kkk's or garrett's that can also be purchased separately afterwards if you want to change your turbo type.

Give people a reason not to bother with another product.

The 9m headers are top notch, same design as B&B but using high grade stainless and beautifully welded

I'd be in line for a set for my 1994 3.6 Turbo.
