Pete Rose DP on Evil bay
I think this car has been sold a bazillion times! Either that or every person with a DP thinks Pete Rose or Regi Jackson owned it!

In my research I have tried to determine who may have owned the car prior to Pete Rose since it had 4200 miles when purchased it from Spiers Imports in Houston. (Anyone with Info On Spiers Imports of Houston Please email me). Some of my paperwork states that the car was designed for Mario Andretti but he never took delivery and Rose bought it. I have also read some forums that state Andretti and Rose were in some type of business partnership back in the 1980's. Mario was given many cars to drive that were never titled in his name. (Contractual Reasons)!! This very well could have been one of those.

Unless you like to sniff seats or something, who cares who owned it? Now if this were a 10-speed bicycle ridden by a famous hot chick...maybe I'd be tempted to "inspect" the seat....GOLLY I'M A SICK PUP!

I don't understand the coilover on the rear. My '87 has coilovers front and rear and my rear one looks just like the front one. It looks just like the front one in the photo above. On this one it looks like the adjusting nuts are on the top of the strut and the retaining ring at the bottom is broken. My retaining ring is one solid peice and the spring fits on it very neatly. Also, can you imagine adjusting the top nuts during a track event? Can any body explain?

Thanks Nathan,
I did not read the whole ad but it still doesn't make sense. Look at the spring collar on the bottom of the strut. It doesn't even fit the spring. Also, it is in two pieces and it makes one wonder what the spring is actually resting on and what holds the two pieces together. Maybe it's a racer thing that I don't know anything about.
