Square end tanks supposedly do not flow very well as the fluid dynamics of air does not like sharp turns(I am no physicist, just something I read that make sense, have you ever seen a true right angle turn in a natural river?

Yes I know about the square end tanks but much easier to fab up.

As I just posted that last reply, I was thinking how much is it really going to affect the air flow? How would you measure the difference between square end tanks vs. rounded or angled end tanks? I agree it would be better but enough to worry about it. The car boosts like nothing I've ever seen.

A "close to bolt-in" style full bay from Bell Intercoolers is much closer to $2K..I had many conversations with Gehard about costs and size.

Then just buy the tank for $650 or so and get someone to fab the rest. I had a local fabricator finish mine off and with the core, and fab work I had about $1200 in it.

Doesn't look the best, but its in a race car, and the air is still going through the core, and being cooled, whether the tanks are pretty or not.

There is minimal increse in hp w/ rounder end tanks.

It is the quality of the intercooler core and how well it disipates heat.

That is what its used for.

Heat disipation is the point, I have never measured temps on my intercooler but it is incredible how good it works. After driving the left side is HOT and the right side is cold. Works for me.
