Wow, Blaine the wheels really do look great on the car, thought the red center caps are distracting. It's really hard to tell from those angles. How about a shot from the front, parallel to the body so that we can really see where the rim is in relation to the wheel well. From those pics you actually look fine at that ride height.

edit: I just saw your last pic, definitely needs to go in, but still need a better angle on the pic to determine how much. There's still hope that the 1/2" will help.

How do they compare to the rears? You want them looking the same, yes?

How much space do you have on the inside of the front wheels to the strut? Just want to make sure you have enough clearance with your wheel/tire combo.

It is important to keep the centre line of the wheels at the front wheels, the back is not important other than for looks and not too much strain on the wheelbearings.

I do want them to look like the rears. I have room in between the tire and the strut to go. This setup currently has a 5" backspace and I believe I can go to 6".

I think I need the full inch.

Blaine,

Contact Ryan at Jongbloed Racing. He had new 2.5 rims for about $200. 7'' were about $275. Not sure what you ned, but maybe this gives you an idea.

A930, that's a good option, but they're not as nice a rim halve as the BBS...I've got them(jongbloed) on my 3pc fuchs. There nice, especially for the price, but not BBS nice

Here is what I was quoted from a BBS supplier-

2- 2" outers=$430
2- 7" outers= $500
2- Wheel gaskets=$90
2- Threaded Valve Stems=$8
2- Wheels stud kits= $15

Grand total w/o shipping, or mount and balancing just over $1000.

This is for genuine BBS parts which seem to be inline with the others quoted. I have ordered a 14 mm narrower hub from Parts heaven to see if that may be enough. Probably worth the $40 investment.

That seems like pretty good pricing. You can easily sell your halves for $500 to off set the cost.

Are you going from 3'' outers to 2'' outers? I take it that is supposed to be 7'' inners from 6'' inners.

Mike, I haven't seen or used the Jongbloed wheel halves, but the price was good. What's the difference?

Yes, I am going from 3" outers to 2" outers. The backspace will then be 6" because of the 1" offset hub. I wasn't sure how easy it would be to sell the outers. Would someone really pay $500 if they are in mint condition?

I was really thinking of all four rims, i.e. two 2'' and two 7''. Usually you can get 50 cents on the dollar. Maybe a little more since they are so nice.

If you do 2'' and 7'' you won't have to mess with the hub will you? That will save you some trouble.

Blaines slant is my favorite car on the forum and it just got better! Woohoo.

I like the red center caps. I may try that with my own BBS. I had thought about painting them red around the BBS logo, or putting Porsche crests in, but I like the solid red look you have sportin'.
