Default High stakes guess the horsepower contest

Since I'm going to dyno my recently rebuilt 3.3 930 engine tomorrow, I thought we could have some fun guessing the rear wheel horsepower and torque. I'm offering a choice of two (yes, two) highly desirable prizes for the expert whose guess is closest to the actual RWHP and torque. I've posted the full engine spec over on a thread on Pelican. Here's the link if you want to get in on the action.

at .8 bar, you will do well to break 360 at the wheels on the dynojet.

If you can turn it up, you will next limited by the K27.
Why did you ever put a KKK in that project????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????

There are turbos available now that will spool MUCH earlier AND make MUCH, MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more power - AND be AT LEAST as reliable.

In case you didn't know, I am not a big triple K fan.

Oh that poor transmission. Can you say KABOOM!

The 964 cams and the 7200 will kill your overall power. Those cams will want to make peak power where the turbo dies off. You should be using a HF2 or at least something that can use that power band without dropping off.

I would guess 380/370. I have gotten more, check out the thread on the 3.3 C2T we build last spring. It was seeing over 400 to the wheels on my dyno. Numbers depend on so much includeing how the cam was ground and how the head was done. SO much in the details.

Yep, I'm babying it for now but it really isn't a viable solution for the long haul.

Lutjens, I'll be dyno'ing at 1 bar (the .8 bar refers to the highly desirable gold colored stock wastegate spring that is one of the two prizes).

Back at ya you old geezer!!

We were getting 390 at .8 and at one bar were seeing about 420RWHP. It was a nice build. It was one of the first we stopped using a candid cam and built the cam to the flow numbers of the head. I about fell over on the dyno.

I think Snowboarder here on Rennlist made 390 also at .8 but in all fairness he was a 3.4 unlike the C2T. That doesn’t add a whole lot, but still a difference.
