I like the home made rod holders. Why did you set TDC overlap at 1.65? I was told it should be 1.4 - 1.7 for SC cams.

Well 1.65 is in the range. I thought I'd stay just under 1.7MM. When Neil Harvey did the original mock-up in his shop to measure the CR and stuff, he used 1.7MM. Once you've got assembly lube on the cam and the tolernaces are possibly changing, I thought it would be better to go slightly under what he used.

Awesome job. Looks liek a real beast. I havent gone over 3200rpms yet but I can already feel the difference in power after my rebuild. Mostly in fourth because its the only gear I can accellerate in and stay under the rpms while I break it in.

Anyway, the car feels like it almost has no turbo in it. Just very very linear power. The best way to describve it is it feels like a rubberband. When you hit the pedal you seem to be stretching power that doesnt recoil.

Thanks UD, and well said! The power does feel very linear! And you're right it feels like there's no turbo in there (I hope I remembered to install it)! The lag is like a thing of the past.
