So does Brian actually rebuild it according to those exact specs? What if one has certain mods done to the car, can he adjust for those as well?

He adjusted mine according to my IA fuel head, 1 bar, etc...What he does is set it as close as possbile, but obviously, you'll need an LM-1 or similar to get the true tunning depending on elevation, etc... If some numbers are off, simply adjust the WUR. 8)

Hi there.
I too have had WURs fail due to pressure spikes from either the adjustable boost (how, not to sure) or from failing fuel pump relays (1985 930 Euro).
I have measured an old metal diapragm (drawing attached hopefully) but need to find the correct grade of stainless steel and hardness used.....anyone know this information?
I have modified an old WUR to be adjustable (from info from Pelican parts and from PCA, but need the disc.
The place to purchase refurbished units is http://www.specialtauto.com/porsche-parts/index.html
hoping for help......Andy P

Can you send me the link to the page on the PAP parts web site that sells new WUR's for a 1988-1989 930, i have been told that here in the UK there are non, and after contacting Bosch in Germany they say they are no longer making them, i would apreciate a link to the company that makes them adjustable too, i'd like to buy a new one and have it sent to them to be converted, then sent over here, i'll then keep the one on my car as a spare.
Cheers

Hello,

I offer the service of making your 930 WUR fully adjustable. I rebuild the unit and modify it, adding adjustment features for the cold, warm, and full-throttle enrichment control pressures. I also provide a means of adjusting the full-throttle enrichment threshold (the point at which the WUR enriches based upon manifold pressure). All of the adjustment hardware used is high quality stainless steel for longevity without rust or corrosion. Before shipping it back to you, I can set your WUR to exact factory specs or whatever settings you desire. If you provide me your engine details, I can offer my suggestions for custom control pressure settings and set the unit accordingly. A 12 page color instruction sheet is included with each unit that details each adjustment feature and documents your particular WUR settings.

Please contact me for more information.

Brian-

How much for a straight rebuild of the factory unit (no adjustability needed), and do you offer any warranty on the rebuild?

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post prices. Thanks.

Cory,

At this time, I am only offering the adjustable WUR modifications. Mainly because that's the kind of thing I enjoy doing most. I would refer you to John at SpecialTAuto ( www.specialtauto.com ) if you wanted a straight-up rebuild. He does good work. Be sure to tell him I sent you.

Cheers,

Brian

Whilst your post may not have been meant for me, I will be e-mailing you in a few days. I am expecting to get my car back, with the faulty old WUR, tomorrow. But then again, I have been led to believe that I would have gotten the car back on a couple of prior days too.
