Help with Tranny diagnosis

easy way to find out about the tranny (teeth replacement.) drain your trans fluid and look for shavings. Also check all of the bushings...Under the shift housing and in the back seat under the carpet. It's probably been awhile since the fluid was changed and may help.

BTW the shift bushing on the 915 (I presume 930 is the same) does have a little play engineered/designed into it, this prevents the gear shifter moving every time you go on and off the gas pedal.

If you change the fluid don't use synthetic. The four-speed Porsche box seems to mot like that much "slippery stuff." Use the proper Swepco in it.
