79' Porsche 930???????????
OK guys, what is a fair price on an extremely nice 79' 930 that was fully rebuilt 2 years ago to original specs? The car is a 8.5 out of 10, maybe a 9, extremely nice and unmolested. It has around 75k original miles on the car and around 5k since the rebuild.
Let me know asap.

I just got back from driving it. Very different than my 965T.
It will take some getting use to with the 4 speed tranny.
I will keep you guys updated.
David, is your 930 stock and what are your thoughts on the car?

My car is definently not stock. I chose the 79 because it's got the brakes and intercooler that the 76-77 don't have. The 78-79 are the lightest of the intercooled 930's. But mostly because in Texas a car 24 years old or older is exempt from emissions testing.
If you are not planning to modify the car, you may want to look for an 86 or later since it has upgraded A/C and other odds and ends. Of course 89 is the ultimate of the older 930's since it has a 5-speed.

I bought mine for 25k and the engine had been rebuilt at 44K. The guy put in over 13K in basic upkeep and repairs. No leaks!! and the body is 9 out of 10, the interior is 8.5 out of 10 with no mods (It was lowered 2") polished Fuch's and it had 46K original miles. Tires were about 1k used. The last guy took really good care of the car. I am now the 3rd owner....
Just make sure to get a PPI..It will save you...It is well worth the added info
I did not on mine since the guy had all the receipts. BUT would recommend regardless
Good luck...It is one FUN car

Nothing....
BTW if you need to do emmissions in your state. You will have to get it done at a speciality P-car shop or a place that specializes in that. otherwise they have to take floor jacks to the back end and drop the wheels in...I was lucky VA does not require it after 25 years. I spent 2 saturdays trying to find a place until the DMV informed me that it was not required.
Speed bumps are a real treat too...Plus the view when you come to a light and turn your head only to see the door handles on the other car...Priceless
