Is there a good source for these vacuum lines and hoses, all of the OEM stuff has braided coverings, or will any good rubber vacuum line do the trick?

Jim,
Have you inspected the linkage to the throttle body?

I'm not a fan of the famous German Cloth wrapped hose.
I replaced all of mine with rubber encased braided fuel hose I got from my local autoparts store.
I replaced alot of the clamps while I was in there too. I also upgraded a few things to stainless braided hose...

Dave,
I have only given a cursory look at the throttle linkage at this point. Looks pretty tough to get too for a complete inspection?

Your original CD box must have gone bad and been replaced with a Permatune. Don't know how good they are.....
