Hey- nice car! But, as you can tell, I already have a 1987 911 Turbo.

Looks good. I can't believe the piping cost only $39. It's a great touch on an excellent looking interior in a neat color. I have never seen an armrest like that. Do you know the story behind it? Is it a factory item?

I don't know the story on the armrest, but I do remember a company selling armrests in Pano in the 1980's....

Thanks for the "bump"...

Id like on eof those armrests. Wonder if its gets in the way of the long 4spd throws?

Also, why do some 87s have the thrid tailight stalk and others dont.

I for one wish my 88 had the stalk. The top centered placements in the rear window is directly in line with cars behind me and I cant see them. Whoever decided in that craptacular piece of ergonomic placement should have been shot.

UDPride,

Actually, I am glad my '88 has the third taillight at the top of the rear windshield...It keeps my Valentine 1 perfectly hidden from behind!!!!

I am sorely tempted to drive up and see your 930......I am just outside of Richmond....I 've been looking for a later 930 and or a 965....

My all time favorate was a 930 that I bought new in Europe and bought over....it was my daily driver in my single days for almost four years....don't remember why I sold it....Oh I got married

There was a company that advertised (they still might) in Panorama...I think they're called "Bird Automotive." I inquired with them years ago about it but ended up not doing it because installation required drilling.

Replies to many below:

87turbo911 - Bird was the name I was thinking of for the armrest. It matches the interior leather perfectly and is comfy :-)

UDPride - I've never had a problem with the gear throws, but I must admit that after it's in third, I'm not in a rush.

Berkley - Feel free to come take a look. We had a major snowstorm yesterday, and my power was only recently restored (the roads suck - snow/salt/sand etc.). I am leaving town Tuesday afternoon, and will be available Friday and throgh the weekend. Drop me a line if you want to come take a look.

Thanks all,

David
