Poly bronze bushings and new cam profile
The next project on the car is refurbing the suspension. I bought poly bronze bushings for the front, rear and monoballs for the pivot points on the rear arms. Before pulling the engine today, I took the car for about a 100 mile drive - it ran perfectly in the 48 degree weather.
The cam is a custom grind by Dougherty Cams. Its a cross between a 964 and 330 SC cams. My goal is to get better low end power than the current super C2 cams, without giving up too much on top. I am not interested in high HP at the expense of drivability and low end torque. I am also looking to get the turbo to come up on boost quicker. I gave John my engine specs and dyno charts to come up with the grind, so lets see what happens....
