Default Arthritic electric window and door latch issue

My '85 930 Eurospec got center-punched in the door abiout 6 months ago. The body shop that repaired it went the extra mile to find me a new OEM door shell to replace the damaged one with. He, of course, reused everything in the door to finish the repair. Although the door looks great its now starting to develop two problems. The first is the electric window on that side is beginning to act like it drags going up and down. I did a search on the forum and found a thousand threads with electric windows as a topic but they were primarily 944 guys wanting to remove the electric windows and go manual for weight reduction. The second problem is the interior door latch is not springing back to the closed position. If you don't remember to push it back to the "closed" position the latch won't trip when it hits the post and the door just bounces open again. I was going to pull the door panel this weekend and see if I could fix both issues. Anyone got any ideas or suggestions to try? I'm sure I'm not the first guy to run into these issues. Thanks in advance for the help. This is a great site.
