I'm interested...I think a CF unit clear coated would be really cool. I can always get a vinyl decal made of the "Porsche" Logo at any sign shop in town.

I'm in for carbon fiber with stencils like Don suggested.

I am guessing carbon fiber would be more heat resistant...
I want one!

Hi All,

I finally got around to making a mold for the center reflector... So far the mold looks great. I will finish prepping it and pull the first part this week... I'll post some pictures when I pull the first part...

BTW) I'm going to embed some rivnuts into the part to make mounting easier...

Any idea of cost yet? I'd be interested in a CF one, depending on the price.

BUMP! The "Pelican version" is gaining momentum! He's got his fiberglass mold essentially done. It'll be a fight to the finish!

FOG LIGHTS: From my prior research into '87-on Euro center reflectors w/ built in fogs , i've found that the fog lamp housing prevents simply swapping out USA reflectors for these foglight units. I've seen it done (search on Pelican), but it requires cutting out some metal behind reflector area to allow fitment of the foglight housing. This is why i haven't done the switch, as i too would like to have fogs in the reflector panel, but cutting metal on my car has prevented me from proceeding.
Will monitor this thread to see if anyone has any suggestions for the fog light dilemna.

thanks
mike

Is it possible to find an LED package to mount on there that might be small enough to not have to butcher the sheet metal?

The one on Pelican is done and the first 20 are for sell. I think the user making an selling them is "widebody911". The Pelican thread has been posted some where in this one.

IMHO, the combination of painted center reflector with the old 911R lights makes our wide 930 rearends look amazing
