Scam or typo. No way it's going to sell for that.

Of course his starting bid is $100? Two typos?

Have somebody go and look @ it. There are tons of rennlisters in the pinellas area that could scoot down there and take a peak. Maybe somebody is just trying to liquidate it fast. But a 6k 930. Maybe there is something horribly wrong with it.

It is a scam. The same car was for sale located in Alabama just a couple of weeks ago and did not meet reserve at @$18,500. I really doubt that someone purchased it and is selling it for for less 2 weeks later. Search the completed auctions and you will find it.

I sent the guy a message. He says it's in Zurich. I told him I would be there on Monday for business and that we should arrange a meeting. Haven't heard from him since.

Yes, this same car was availble before. He just jacked the pics. Maybe same guy who tried to sell Geoffrey's car...

Here is his initial response:

Hi,
Before i can add you on my pre-approve list i just wanna to let you know the terms of this deal.

Shipping : The car will be shipped from Zurich ,Switzerland & i will cover shipping fees as my wife work for DHL air service , so all you have to pay for this car it's BUY IT NOW price ($6000,00) . Will be shipped with DHL Autos Air Service and you will receive it within 8 days tops.DHL will delivery the car at your door.
Condition : perfect working condition , no damage,no scratches or dents,no hidden defects, and it is as advertised. Is an US model with US specs and will be shipped with CLEAR US TITLE.
We have recently opened a small business in Zurich , and we moved here. We found out that we have to pay a large amount of money to regist the car here, because it is an US model (which complies with the US emission ) and Europe regulations are different from these ones.
If you are interested get back to me and i'll let you know terms of this deal.
Thanks

ya.. oh well, guy gave my father a great story of how it was in switzerland and how it would cost him so much to register it there, so he was going to ship it back and have his wife (who works for dhl a moving company) to deliver it for free.. but went to check on it again and it was no longer there.. oh well, too good to be true

I'm sure the terms would have been "please send me $6000 and will send you an email once I am safely hiding in Angola"

Send him a link from the original auction and ask how he got the car from Alabama to Zurich so quickly. Also ask if he can send some current pics of the car etc....It can be fun messing with these scammers and string them along.

That's freaking scarry wow.....

Its scarry how someone and their money can be easily scammed and taken....

I lived in Europe for many years and US cars are easily resgistered there, especially if it meant to be used a personal vehicle. Older cars do not have to meet any emissions over there, so he is full of 5$hit. Europe is very liberal for any thing emissions related especially for an older car, a car like a Porsche that originated from Europe from the get-go is easily registered no ifs, and or butts.

Guys like this should be taken back outside in the alley and the size 12 steel toe boot taken to their face.
