Default AFR gage

Just looking at innovate's LC-1 AFR meter and was wondering if there is a good reason to go with the LM-1 instead. It looks like the LC-1 does the same things and you end up with a nice gage to boot. Appreciate any help.

The LC-1 is a good unit. They make two gauges, one that works with the LM-1 only and the other that works as a stand alone. We use these on our dyno and ended up picking the line up. They work well. Same technology, just a smaller foot print.

I think the gauge is cool and it can be mounted in various ways. However my thoughts were/are if I get the car tuned properly it really shouldn't change a whole hell of a lot. My goal is to check the AFR whenever I'm doing a tune-up...maybe at oil change intervals. I was afraid that I'd be staring at this freaking gauge a lot and had thoughts that it might cause me a lot of undue worrying...
In addition I like the idea of having the LM-1 in my tool box so that I can help others if need be.

Stephen,
Is your price the same as Innovates? Would the warranty be through you or Inov.? I will be glad to help you out if every thing is equal. Also can I use the O2 bung that is in my headers just before the turbo? There isn't much after that.

If I'm not mistaken, the bung needs to be placed "post turbo" for the most accurate readings. Being that I'll be using my LM-1 for tuning, I ordered an exhaust clamp in order to take the reading right out of the tail pipe. Maybe if I get industrious, I'll have a bung welded some place else, after the turbo. I've read that about 6" after the turbo is ideal.

I'm not planning on buying the gauge, so no. I'm only interested in the basic Innovate LM-1 for occaisional testing. In addition I think this is more than a basic guage, I think it has record features also. Sort of like a smaller version of the LM-1.

Yes, we are the same price. You can use the bung, but it is not the ideal place.
