Default GHL Exhaust Warranty?

What is the warranty and experience of those who have had issues with their GHL headers? I've got a crack with a small hole on the wastegate pipe where the two headers merge into one just below the turbo flange.

I don't race, but use it on the street and the track for DE's.

I'm the original orwner and bought them from Stephan at Imagine.

Anybody know what "Limited Lifetime Warranty" means?

Here is GHL's policy: GHL Motorsports, L.L.C. offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser of all non-race application products. Products are warranted for life against workmanship defects. GHL Motorsports, L.L.C. does not however cover products for rust or corrosion. Claimed defective products must be returned at the buyer’s expense. Upon receipt GHL Motorsports, L.L.C. will inspect the product and then at its option, repair or replace the defective item. Damages caused by abuse, racing or alteration are not covered under warranty. This product is meant for high performance use and may not be legal for highway use in some states. Sound quality is subjective and may not be covered under warranty.. The warranty set above is the only warranty, expressed or implied. In no event will GHL Motorsports, L.L.C. be responsible for any consequential or incidental damages or charges.

Regards,
Jim

Jim,
It sounds like they will weld the hole up and you pay the shipping to and from their shop. It would probably be cheaper to have it welded in your home town. I can't imagine them replacing the entire system even though they warranty it. You never know though, they might replace the whole thing.
Good luck.

Jim:

Check with Stephen. I have GHL headers also, and there are slight cracks at the welded corners at the rear of the heat exchange boxes. I called Stephen about it and he said I need to get the headers back to him for inspection, rather than work directly with GHL. I suspect (but don't know for sure) that he would try to fix the problem himself and return them to me. At this point, can't justify expense for such a minor issue. I've heard that GHL is good about warranty issues. Good luck.

Brian,

Thanks. I'll do it tomorrow.
I think this is one reason I'm a little low on boost from the crack and small hole...

GHL sent me a new set of headers when my heater boxes formed a small crack. They are easy to work with and stand behind there product.
