Default putting 4sp turbo tranny in car

i have a 83 cab with a worked turbo motor. I am installing a 4sp turbo trannny in the car. My mechanic says that the tranny is alittle to long. when he puts the motor back in it is bending the console. the plate that the motor mounts to. what do i have to do to mount the motor back in the car with with that tranny. the car was an sc before i did all the motor swaps. the tranny in before was the 915 and i do have a new turbo tranny mount in the car. the new tranny is from a 3.3l turbo 4sp. thanks for the help

JBrown,
The turbo motors sit further back in the chassis than the the NA engines. The 930 trannie uses the mount furnished in the pic below.

Hope this helps.

Which console and bracket are you using, the cabriolet version for the SC or the 930 coupe version?
