Good day for a shine!
Great day for a little Rejex! Well, at least yesterday was. Had to keep it out of the sun overnight for the Rejex to bond. It's hotter than blazes in Plano today. I wish the AC worked as well as the car looks.
Guards red is a difficult color to capture in photos. It can look orange if there are any shadows in the pic.

Very observant! Yes, I had the clear bra installed when I got the car in July. It's also on the mirrors and behind the front wheels and rear vents.
My car had no chips and I wanted it to stay that way. Here in Dallas, you're always behind some pickup or SUV with no mud flaps, so I did it for peace of mind. I can drive the car without feeling paranoid.
The 3m clear bra finish definitely does not look as good as paint close up, but I'd rather have that than a gazillion little white chips on the bumper and hood.

Glad you enjoyed the pics, Yasin.
It's been in the high 90's to over 100. It was 100 yesterday. Today is cooler. At 10:16am it's 80 with a projected high of 95.
I am very interested in doing some of the Griffith's or ProCooler AC upgrades like barrier hoses, iimproved condensers and evaporators, ProCooler, and kuehl center vent. All bolt on stuff to bring old AC technology up to date. Sounds good but it's expensive. I'd really like to hear from someone who has done it on their Turbo and had good success. My current system blows cool air but can't compete with 100 degrees. It's no fun to go for a drive and come back with a soaking wet back.

John - With those kind of temps. I can see why AC upgrades are on the horizon - I know what you mean about the wet back, one reason I love a velor or cloth type fabric for my seats, much more practical on super hot days and super cold days too! There are some great threads about AC updates and improvements on the Pelican 911 BBS, so you might want to start there for some background research.

Yasin,
Oh yes, I have read/copied most of them from every 911 message board out there. I've only had the car a couple of months and bought it for its originality and condition. I am uncomfortable about digging into it and risking the kinds of damage working on any car can bring with a slip of a tool or part. I also do not want to modify in terms of drilling new holes -- bolt on is OK. I'm OK with not keeping AC parts original -- AC was an afterthought by Porsche anyway -- I just want them to go in safely. Most of all, for the effort and expense of this project, I want it to work. I'm still unsure of that. For every successful post I see, there is someone else who appears to have done everything yet gets poor results. I have a lot more learning, talking with the main players, and planning to do before I begin.

John - I agree 101% Its always good to do your homework before hand. I always say "let the parts fit the car, not the car fit the parts"
