Emanuel,
Have you considered getting the long neck wit the 964t style BOV?

This intercooler is just temporary until I go to full EFI...
Then the car will get the entire motor overhauled, custom full wing intercooler... the works.
The stock intercooler just plain sucks *** on these cars once you start running a k-27 and 1bar of boost. BTW, I managed to drive the car for about 10 minutes and the new intercooler moved my boost threshold to 4000RPM from 3700 but the engine feels about 20-30HP stronger. My seat of the pants evalutaion may be off. I may run the car by the dyno again this Thursday to see if it actually made a difference. I wouldn't mind checking my A/F ratio at the same time.

Do you know how much of a pressure drop you get with the larger IC????

I have measured the pressure drop across the intercooler at the shop, it registered just a hair over 0.5psi at 0.8bar, on other words very minimal.

Emanual - Those power increases you feel on the seat of the pants is about spot on! And you are right....the stock intercooler plain sucks, major heat soak and a 30year old design that just does not cut it today.

Here's a dumb question from a guy who's running with everything stock standard. How do know that your intercooler isn't performing?

The stock intercooler should work fine with a stock engine. It's when you start adding more boost and/or run at the track that you might have detonation problems from too hot an intake charge. A larger intercooler doesn't really add power but it allows you to increase boost.
