Cigarette lighter power
My 993 had a cigarette lighter socket through which I could use a Porsche battery maintainer to keep the battery charged. Very easy and convenient.
The 930 lighter has no power when the ignition is off so I assume the battery maintainer won't work.
It there an easy non-invasive way to change the lighter to alway-on in my 930? Cutting factory wiring is not an option.

John,
This is a good reason for you to buy the total set of manuals. It will show you the color coded wires that you need to re-connect. The lighter plug you have runs through the ignition switch and you just need to disconnect it and add a jumper from the hot lead to the ignition to the lighter wire. No cutting neccessary. However you must insert a fuse in the jumper wire to prevent meltdown.
LOL
