Thanks Sameer! It really is too nice to drive, but I must confess...it's now my daily driver! Porsche didn't make this car to sit and as such, I plan to use it!!!

Thanks senna...and a cup holder too! I figure that option alone adds at least $5K for resale value! Actually the cup holder looked a little too awkward for my taste and as such has been relegated to my garage! HAHAHA!

not all is wasted... use your passenger side door pocket near the speaker. it holds a thermal coffee mug perfectly. I don't use the drivers side anymore because sometimes I would forget it was there when driving frisky. hot coffee will splash out the mug breather hole onto my pants.... messy and HOT!!

If you remove that cupholder you will loose ~15hp, :-).
Congratulations on your new car. Looks almost too new.
Did you have to pay extra money or just an even trade of your VW car?
Regards,
Sonny

SonnyV - I had a lot of equity in the GTI and was ale to use that to my advantage....was able to essentially keep the same financing: payments, interest, time, etc. I will miss the ease of use the GTI presented (was trouble free from the word go), but this is something I've always dreamed of owning. I'm hoping the 930 will prove to be a good "work horse", provided I maintaine it.

Sorry...it's in another post, but it's a 1987 with 40,000 miles. The only mods are B&B single outlet exhaust with B&B headers (with heat exchangers), and 18" SSR rims. For the most part, I plan to keep it mostly stock...famous last words, I know...

Congrats Sand Man. Your right, these cars are meant to be driven and you'll really appreciate what a great car it is when you drive it everyday. I purchased mine with about the same mileage 3.5 yrs ago and now just about to hit 100K and have loved every minute of it.
As far as mods I think you have the perfect base. Headers will provide the best all around bang for the buck in drivability and the stock muffler is just too quiet. When your turbo goes then you will have a natural opportunity to step up though I'd be surprised if you still have a k26 if they changed headers. Have you checked the # on the turbo? Welcome to the club

Thanks SoCal! I'm trying to ease my way into the garage little by little to begin spending time with my new/old purchase! The car is a sore spot for my wife (not an auto enthusiast what-so-ever)...so I've got to be careful! My hope is that I'll find a K27 under there once I'm able to take a full inventory, but I'm happy either way.
I was beginning to transform my GTI VR6 into a turbo (a VR6T) when it dawned on me, that I'd be better off saving the funds for a car that already had turbo power...no regrets!
