Default Smoking Deal On eBay? $13K for a 55K '86 930???

I could not believe my eyes, seller would be willing to sell the car for $13K (read description!!), cripes you can't buy a used Neon for that!

Car has:
1) K27 UPGRADE/1 lb. BOOST SPRING
2) H-4 100 WATT HEADLIGHT UPGRADE
3) MOMO STEERING WHEEL WITH QUICK RELEASE HUB AND MOMO SHIFT ****
4) WELTMEISTER SWAY BAR
5) WELTMEISTER TORSION BARS
6) BLAUKPUNT CD PLAYER
7) 18x8.5 & 18x10 NEW CHROME TURBO TWIST RIMS
8) B&B EXHAUST (not sure if headers or just muffler or both)

The upgrades alone are close to $8G-10G. Too good to be true? The one thing that looks fishy is the pics look to be taken in Florida or CA etc (palm trees in background) but the seller's ID says PA..can't remember the last time I saw palm trees in PA....LOL! Plus he is new to eBay - Zero feedback.

If it's in good shape and I was looking for one. I'd pay more for it and grab it.

If it smells like a fish it probably is. Be real careful and do not give any money until you have seen the title and can verify it. I am sure you know all of this but I have bid on and won two Boxsters and have not been able to obtain them because of a little "Problem" with the title. In both instances the seller offered to let me have the car right away while the title was cleared up. Yeah. Right.
LOL,
Rudy

Things that make sand_man go HHHMMMM! It does look too good to be true!? I've been looking for some time (taking my time with this one) and am not quite ready (haven't shared the news with wifey), but hell, I've got $13K available on one of my credit cards! I'm almost afraid to ask the guy about this ride. I don't like to feel rushed, and seeing this ad has deiffinately caused my heart rate to increase! What to do?

I'll keep the board posted on what the owner says in his return email. I bet he tries to sell it to all of us for 13k.

This is my favorite part of the ad:

"I MIGHT CONSIDER SELLING IT FOR $13,000 IF I FIIND THE RIGHT BUYER." HAHAHAHA! WTF? I guess the "right buyer" is anyone that doesn't live in his neighborhood who might catch on that this is his neighbor's car..."oh sure I'll watch after the 930 while you're on vacation..." JK

here is what I got back from him... what do you think?

Dear Customer,
The car is located in Pennsylvania. It has all the papers(complete) as well as the service book.
I want this transaction to be smooth enough as I am caught in the middle of some very important events and have very few time at my disposal. The car is in perfect condition, no scratches, no special marks, no need for additional repairs what so ever. 55K miles onboard, a great car ready to be yours. I am the first owner of the car and it has no accident or any engine problem.
The price is $13,000 USD including shipping costs anywhere in the continental US. There are no other costs regarding this transaction. Now, in order to be able to buy it please let me know if you have any negative feedback and, if this is the case, for what reason. I apologize for asking for such information but I need to be sure.
Please also provide me with the following details necessary to take a decision:
-your full name and address for shipping
-your ph#
Regarding payment I am aware of the buyer's protection and we will use eBay Motors secure payments. I require a deposit for $4.000 USD with eBay Motors which will hold it until the buyer receives the car. Deposit is refundable if you do not accept the car. To complete payment the you must have cash available.
Thank you.

Well I also happen to live in PA and sent him an email telling him how much I want the car and offering to pay cash in person.

I don't get it? Still sounds or sounded too good to be true. Sounds like the guy has to beat feet out of the country! HA! I would have needed more time to get comfortable with the car and the seller.
