I'd concur w/ A930Rocket. ...just took B&B muffler off my race car and fabricated J-pipe. It's louder, but not significantly. Remember your turbo acts as a muffler itself. I'd read that it helps power in higher rpm's, but I'm not sure because did over winter and also did new turbo. I made mine so that it comes right out of center of bumper (right where lisc plate goes).

...let me know if you'd like to see pic. don't have on this pc.

Or if you watch my video of A930Rocket following me on the videos page in my signature, you will see tons of my dump pipe flaming away....

Just like Joe's mine is straight out the back.
My new one on the new car is slightly cocked to the right.

Instead of paying fabspeed $300 for theirs, just call GHL and buy one of their turbo flanges, go to a local muffler shop and have them weld it up for you with some stainless, unless you just want it to look perfect or something.

I cut the flange from a scrap original muffler, a friend then welded a piece of tubing to it.
I had it pointing straight down on my car. Total cost less than 50$.
Removed the pipe for the yearly inspection as the dB level was far above legal. The car also giantshot flames which was cool, the sound was like a racecar but however was not pleasant to the ears during longer drives.

I have an open WG dump since I have the B&B headers.

I have not done much track stuff with the 930 and really have no need for it.

I'd go for it if it was'nt for the strict regulations in Singapore. You can hear the turbos spooling with these tubes. Awesome man!

I wish I had known you had one for sale before I'd ordered mine. I paid 250. Oh well. Mine does have a collar with a clamp so I can adjust the angle it is pointed and it looks like you may have scraped yours a time or two.

Zack,

I thought you loved that dump pipe? You talked me into getting one. So if you still have it when i get back i will buy it from you. By the way your car looks great, how is it running?

I do like it! The performance gain is great over any muffler. Trade me your wheels and you can have the pipe!

I found the dump pipe produced about 10hp LESS then a well designed muffler. This on my 450hp 390ftlbs 1979 930.
