Default ATL Fuel Celll Install - 17 gallon

Looking for advice/previous experience with installing an ATL 17 gallon Fuel cell in a '79 930.

ATL has an 'install kit' that comes with the cell. How user friendly is this 'install kit' ? I also understand that there will need to be an upgrade in fuel lines (AN6 fittings on the cell). Does anyone recall the lengths of the required fuel lines (ie ss lines from cell to motor) and the fitting sizes (opposite end of fuel cell)? Other alternatives?

After the install - were you happy with the performance of the cell (no leaks, etc).

I have read older threads that mention having to fabricate a piece to cover a hole left when removing the OEM fuel tank. What was the solution (metal thickness, etc..) and was it reassuring to the customer/driver?

Any additonal (hidden) requirements for this install? Will be utilizing stock fuel pump.

Just researching the process to install this particular unti in a vehicle ... any and all experience is welcome. Thanks!

Saw a thread a couple of years back about the foam causing some fuel blockage if the pickup isn't set up right. Thought you might want the heads up.

Might want to ask this on the Racing Forum as well. Might have better luck there.
