Default 930 tech manual

Does anyone out there have or know where to find a good set of 930 manuals? I have the Bentley manual as I'm sure a lot of you have, but it does not cover anything on the 930. If anyone knows anything let me know.

gsxrken,

Which manual are you finally getting? Is it a factory 930 manual and is it all inclusive or do you have to have the other 5 factory 911 manuals to complete it?

Unfortunately, the factory turbo manual only covers the differences between the 911 and the 930, and you need the previous manuals to cover everything, though I think you need only the 65-68, 69-73, and 74-83 books to cover a turbo - plus the turbo manual of course. I think some of them are out of print now, and are getting more expensive and harder to find. With that in mind, does anyone have any experience with these guys?..

Factory manuals on CD in PDF format

Seems like this would be the cat's meow, at about 1/10th the price of the books.

I have the CD too. Having just leafed through the 2 turbo manuals I just received, the electrical flows and diagrams are much much better on paper. They fold out to almost 3 pages wide. On the CD, they are awful since you lose all sense of which page borders the next. Maybe it makes sense to buy the turbo manuals like I did but get the regular 911 manuals on CD? $50 vs $500 may make sense there, whereas $50 vs $100 for the turbo manuals doesn't.

Tony/ Ken-
I just called the phone number listed for VIP and it's a non-operational voice mail box. Also, I e-mailed them and got no reply. I wonder how legit this operation is...

Are these factory authorized? Have you compared them to a printed copy? The same?

So, should I assume they're OOB?

Maybe there's a new phone number...anyone? The one that's bogus is 206-984-4115

Guys,
I just e-mailed a paypal payment to VIP and they responded immediately. They are located in Austrailia so maybe thats why the phone didn't work right. Anyway the CD is $29.95 and I'll pass along my feelings on it after I get it.

I got the manuals and they are ok. They don't cover all aspects of the 930 and the electrical diagrams are terrible because they cover three screens full of lines. I just bought the two 930 manuals from a Porsche dealer that was going out of business and they are real detailed. However they are probably more technical than most people want. The engine section is good but the body reconstruction sections are over kill. If I can e-mail any thin to someone, let me know and I will give it a try.

Rudy
