Hi,
I have post also in the 911 forum up to 1989, I hope it is correct to duplicate this post here.

I wanted to restore my 77 TC fog lights and completed the rechrome plating. Only that the middle part that was removed and supports the bulb doesn’t get back as tight as before. I am not sure if it was spot welded beneath the 3 tabs.
If someone went through this process and found out how to do it, please let me know 🙏
